The FISD Education Foundation is proud to introduce Billie Grands, a new community volunteer program created to connect the people who love Fredericksburg ISD with the schools that need them most. Our FISD campuses have countless opportunities for community volunteers to make a difference—from supporting classroom activities and campus events to helping teachers and staff with special projects. At the same time, our community is filled with retirees, grandparents, parents, community groups, and individuals eager to give their time and talents.
Billie Grands brings the two together.
In partnership with each of our six FISD campuses, the Foundation is building a simple, organized way for community members to find meaningful volunteer opportunities and for our schools to connect with the volunteers they need.
How Billie Grands Works
Community members interested in volunteering can register through the Billie Grands webpage. The FISD Education Foundation will coordinate the volunteer process, including required background checks and orientation. Each month, the Foundation will share a list of current volunteer opportunities from our FISD campuses. Volunteers can explore opportunities and sign up for those that best fit their interests, availability, and talents. Our campuses will regularly update their volunteer opportunities so that Billie Grands can help connect their needs with community members ready to serve.
