This full-time position will lead all fundraising and development efforts to support the students, educators, and programs of Fredericksburg ISD. VISION.

Excellence in education is the foundation for a strong community. Strong public schools create strong communities and a strong economy. Fredericksburg ISD Education Foundation serves as the fundraising arm of the Fredericksburg Independent School District through the funding of teachers, innovative programs, and unique learning opportunities for our students. The funds raised by the Foundation will ensure that FISD remains one of the best school districts in Texas. Through strategic planning, The Foundation and FISD address evolving educational trends while anticipating future critical needs. Through the generous contributions of our donors, FISDEF funds: Teacher stipends and bonuses to ensure students have access to innovative instruction not covered by state funds Enhanced classroom materials and technology Workshops for students and teachers Specialized educator training and certifications

OUR
APPROACH.

Supporting the District, administrators, and teachers as they deliver excellence. The FISD Education Foundation is a private fundraising entity. Though we work in lock step with the District and its strategic direction, we maintain a separate Programs committee to determine the best use of our funds through Innovative Teaching Grants. Innovative Teaching Grants are designed to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward innovative and creative instructional approaches. The Foundation offers teachers and administrators the opportunity to apply for grants to support innovative programs or projects to support higher levels of student learning. The grants must enhance student academic performance and support the objectives, goals, and initiatives of FISD. The use of Innovative Teaching Grants enables the FISD Education Foundation to be flexible in its giving, ranging from the one-time needs of a specific teacher to year-over-year District related-expenditures. The unique working relationship with the District insures that our funds will be applied to programs that are inline with the District’s Strategic Initiatives.
